B Canapi has been working in TV productions for over a decade, and he has been directing for the past 7 years. He is a product of De La Salle - Zobel and UP Diliman, BA Film. Don’t worry, he’s not coño. UP made sure of that.
His break came in 2002, when he was hired by Ideal Minds Corporation to direct a new reality-based dating show called Single (ABC5). Single went on to be a cult hit, and has been instrumental in launching the career of FHM hottie Asia Agcaoili, among others.
Since then, he has directed four other TV shows for IMC, namely Ang Boyfriend Ko (Studio 23), MPH TV (ABC 5), Bestfriends (IBC 13), and MTV Homecoming (MTV Philippines). After a brief hiatus in 2006, he returned to IMC on a freelance basis, as the head scriptwriter for It’s a Guy Thing (Studio 23). He has also done work for GoNegosyo Big Time! (QTV) and The Asian Poker Tour (CS9).
He then signed up with Moomoo Inc in 2007 as an in-house Director. He served as a Unit Director for Rush TV (Studio 23), and is currently in charge of the company’s graphic needs and a part of the company’s creative development pool.
He has also directed countless Audiovisual Presentations, Music Videos, Documentaries, and Web Videos.
He is also trying to lose weight. Lots of it.
