Client Profile: Madventures: Extreme Travelogue

Madventures is a Finnish travel show that premiered on the Subtv channel in 2002. The show avoids tourist attractions, focusing instead on the weirder and more hardcore elements of every country they’ve visited. Hosted by Riku Rantala and Tuomas “Tunna” Milonoff, the two emphasize that they are on a journey, not on a holiday. The travel documentary is made on a relatively low budget with no major production crew but rather just the two hosts traveling together with the shooting equipment.

The first two seasons was broadcasted exclusively in Finland. The third season of the show was sold to Travel Channel and Fiver, effectively giving the show an international audience and a wider reach.

Madventures is produced by Gimmeyawallet Productions. This upstart production house contacted psychoCOW productions in March 2009 for logistic assistance for their Philippine Shoot. With our assistance, Madventures went to Cutud, Pampanga to take part in the flagellation ritual (Yes, the Finnish guy mentioned in the news was Riku), visited the Tau’t Batu tribe in Palawan, danced with the Dancing Prisoners in Cebu, slept in a cemetery in Manila, and so much more.

Client Profile: Souk Kafe

Since opening its doors in 2006, Souk Kafe has added a touch of class to Dasmariñas, Cavite. The hip Mediterranean/Asian cafe has been a bastion of good food and good vives, and has become a popular hangout for the locals.

psychoCOW productions has done all of the merchandising materials for Souk Kafe, from flyers to streamers, down to the menus. We’ve also set up a website for them as well.

Client Profile: St Scholastica HS Batch ‘58

When the HS Batch ‘58 of St Scholastica College was preparing for their Golden Jubilee last 2008, they decided that they were going to put on a show nobody would ever forget. And they made sure that it would be properly documented.

HS Batch ‘58 tapped psychoCOW productions for photo and video coverage of that special day, from start to finish. We were also tasked to produce a souvenir programme to commemorate that day, and then some. The programme contained pictures from their high school days, individual profiles, and the photo coverage of the event.

Hey, if you’re going to get involved, go all the way.

Arrozja Restaurant

Arrozja was a quaint little restaurant in Dasmariñas, Cavite that was like no other. It served excellent Asian fusion dishes, and the prices were an absolute steal! Ran by Jerry Mayuga, the restaurant flourished in an area peppered with cheap eats.

Sadly, the restaurant had to be closed, because Jerry had to run the family’s newest resto, Souk Kafe. Some of Arrozja’s bestsellers can be found in Souk Kafe, so loyal patrons can take heart.

Fazenda da Esperanca (Masbate) is the only abuse rehabilitation program of its kind in Asia. Instead of the usual methods, the patients (or boys, as they are referred to down there) are subjected to a life of hard work and prayer. So far, all the Fazendas in the world are averaging an 82% success rate for boys who finish the whole program. Pretty impressive.

If you’re wondering where did all the videos and layouts went, I purposely took them down from the main section. I felt it was unfair to both Ideal Minds Corporation and Moomoo Inc if I posted the material I made under them into this website. I’ve never claimed that those mats were done by psychoCOW productions; to my credit, I have always acknowledged those two.

Besides, psychoCOW productions has steadily been acquiring material of its own. So even if this site suddenly looks bare, it won’t be for long.

Having said that, I will post all the mats I did under IMC and Moomoo under my personal page. It still represents close to seven years of my work, and nobody is going to take that away from me.

Lilystars Records is an independent record label based in Manila, Philippines dedicated to Indie (Rock/Pop/Electronic and its derivative) Music. This label is determined to house significant local and international indie artists and connect them to the world and beyond where music lovers are most receptive to its aesthetics and sensibility.

Lilystars was founded by Clememtine, formerly of Orange and Lemons, currently the leadman of The Camerawalls, which unsurprisingly is also Lilystars’ banner act.

Lilystars and psychoCOW productions entered a mutually beneficial partnership last July 2008 that borne two gorgeous MTVs for The Camerawalls. With more projects in the pipeline, this is one partnership that will only get stronger with time. Both parties will agree, the success of one is the success of the other as well.
